Title of work Fracking Go
Date of work 2015
Medium Cotton, Ink, Go stones
Dimensions 200cm x 200cm x 2cm
Exhibited Venue The Crypt gallery, London & Q Park, Cavendish Square, W1 London (2015)

This installation is based on an ancient board game called "Go". The Go stones lay on a map of Britain. Their configuration relates to the Shale oil, gas and fracking licensing onshore in the UK.

White stones are on the places offered to companies to apply by the government. The black stones are on places where companies are already licensed to develop, awarded companies waiting for formal licenses and places where the government are holding consultations for future awards.
